Many Klymit sleeping pads feature deep V-chamber welds, which are specifically engineered to trap and insulate air pockets beneath your sleeping bag.   With the adoption of the ASTM F3340-18 standard, we now display two R-Values on certain pads—our original Klymit R-Value and the ASTM-rated R-Value—where applicable. This helps provide additional transparency while recognizing that ASTM testing does not always fully capture the insulation benefits of our pad designs. Some pads may only display a single ASTM R-Value as we work through the testing process, but rest assured, every Klymit pad is engineered for year-round performance in all conditions.
